The origins of Taurasi date back to pre-Roman times and the name derives from that of the main town in the province of Avellino. The vine is Aglianico, a dark grape from southern Italy. It is one of the most renowned red wines in Italy, it can age well even for years, developing a complex and elegant taste over time.
